Unfortunately, some of the well-known remedies are useless, and can do more damage than good, or can so easily be replaced with something else.
1. Alcohol
The age-long belief you should drink some on once the hangover strikes is not applicable in this particular situation, or any situation for that matter; moreover, this seemingly useful trick does not work at all. It can provide a temporary relief from you misery, sure. However, in reality, it does not do much apart from staving off the inevitable. You’ll still get hangover – just a little bit later. Not to mention, this not-so-nifty trick can also contribute to your chances of getting addicted to the booze and can very well turn you into an alcoholic very fast.
2. Energy Drinks
You can down an energy drink to try to cure your alcohol-induced headache, but it probably won’t be a very successful attempt. Of course, the reaction of your body might trick you into thinking it worked, although the effect is both deceiving and short-lived.

3. Coffee
Just like energy drinks, coffee will not do you much good. It can alert you for a short period of time by triggering the production of certain chemicals. Alas, it can also significantly worsen your state by contributing to your headache.
4. Working Out
Sure, burning a couple of calories is nice and overall beneficial for both your health and appearance. Unfortunately, it won’t do anything for your hangover. See, your anatomy burns the alcohol in about an hour; therefore, there is no use in trying to “get rid of it” in the morning after the night of puking your guts out.
