Tips on how to reduce migraine at workplace

We often have to go through our workdays with a crippling headache. Thousands of people try to find ways to treat headaches while wondering whether migraines can cause fainting or not. Not many ask themselves a question: how to prevent them from occurring? Here're 4 tips by long island neurologist on how to do just that.
1. Maintain A Healthy Sleeping Pattern
A consistent good night's rest is crucial for your health, so make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Infuse some herbs if struggling with insomnia and anxiety. Lavender, chamomile, lemon balm, and peppermint are great for relaxation. Drink a cup of warm brew before going to sleep and follow it by a glass of water.
2. Hydrate
Keep in mind to drink enough water. Dehydration is the main cause of migraines. Make it a routine to drink at least 2 glasses of water when you wake up. Remember to sip water every hour or so when at work to maintain the hydration level.

3. Take Exercise Breaks
If working behind the desk, make sure you stretch the muscle in your neck and shoulders. Rotate the joints to alleviate some of the pain. Get up and walk for a bit, when possible. Do not spend your lunch break at your desk. Go outside and take a stroll in the park or simply walk to the shop and buy a healthy snack.
4. Adjust The Conditions
Make sure your working place is comfortable for you. It should have enough light and fresh air. Boot up a conditioner if you have one.
Stick to these simple tips to avoid getting migraines in the future!
